The absolute elegance of a white wedding
Some couples dream about their wedding for years. Serena and Nicolò, instead, had to fit it between a house renovation, demanding careers, and schedules packed until the very last minute.
She was balancing patients and academic research. He was immersed in the fast-paced rhythm of his professional studio. The only time they had available? Evenings after 8 p.m., weekends, and holidays.
It seemed almost impossible. Yet there was one thing they were not willing to compromise on: doing everything beautifully, with a super chic, elegant, and understated style.
From this challenge came one of the most memorable weddings I have ever designed. Even today, people occasionally stop me in the streets of Catania to ask, “How many roses did you use for that wedding?”
The answer is simple: 10,000 white roses. Only white roses.
Large Colombian roses, stunning in their natural perfection, rich with subtle shades and organic movement. Because even white, when touched by light and shadow, reveals depth, texture, and character.
The church: an unforgettable entrance
As Serena entered the church, she was welcomed by a breathtaking display of white roses. No distracting colors, only volume, petals, and light. A powerful yet refined visual impact, where abundance translated into elegance.
The aperitif: welcoming elegance
At the venue, guests were greeted in a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere. Lounge areas with green and ivory sofas, rugs, and low tables created inviting corners, setting the tone for an evening built on harmony and detail.
Dinner: one flower, one color
The reception followed the same stylistic language: total white. Crystal stands supported abundant compositions of white roses, creating plays of height and transparency. No excessive color, no unnecessary elements — just the scenographic strength of a single flower, repeated with consistency. An essential aesthetic language that turned simplicity into luxury.
The cake cutting
The evening concluded with the cake cutting under a gazebo entirely wrapped in white roses and tiny warm lights. An intimate moment, built on purity and balance.
Serena and Nicolò’s wedding proved that true elegance often comes from a precise choice: removing the superfluous and allowing one single element to speak at its highest expression.
