Italian elegance, Latin soul, heart in Taormina
Taormina. One word is enough to evoke sea, light, atmosphere, and pure suggestion.
Giovanni and Lizbeth live in Dallas, yet they chose to return to Sicily to celebrate their wedding, turning his Sicilian roots and her dreams into a celebration filled with beauty, elegance, and personality.
Lizbeth, Mexican, has always been in love with classic Italian style — the refined elegance, precious details, and timeless romance she had heard so much about. Giovanni had one clear goal: to fulfill every wish of his beloved Lilly. And that is exactly what happened.
The ceremony took place in the magnificent Basilica of San Sebastiano in Acireale, a baroque jewel that welcomed the couple in a solemn and luminous atmosphere — the perfect setting for a bridal look straight out of a classic film.
Lizbeth’s gown recalled the iconic style of Grace Kelly: delicate lace, an elegant structure, refined sleeves, and a precious tiara that completed a look worthy of a modern princess.
From Sicilian baroque architecture, the celebration moved to Taormina, with the breathtaking view over Isola Bella, for the reception at the stunning Villa Mon Repos — a cult location for exclusive events.
Italian Elegance in Every Detail
The table setting was a tribute to classic Italian luxury: gold charger plates, gold cutlery, gold chairs, and embroidered tablecloths with fine lace. Each table expressed a precise idea of elegance — the one Lizbeth had always imagined: no modern excess, but rich in charm, heritage, and style. The seated dinner maintained a sophisticated and formal tone, perfectly aligned with the aesthetic of the event.
From etiquette to disco dance
Giovanni and Lizbeth are also bold, energetic, and passionate about disco dance. After the elegant part of the evening, the atmosphere shifted completely: scenic lighting, DJ set effects, and vibrant music transformed the reception into a true party under the Taormina sky. A perfect balance between tradition and pure fun.
The bouquet from the balcony
The most iconic moment was the bouquet toss. Lizbeth threw it from a balcony of Villa Mon Repos, entirely covered in flowers in harmony with the event’s style. Below her stood all her friends, ready to catch it, like a romantic movie scene. A modern Juliet — but with a happy ending already written: she had already married her Romeo.
Giovanni and Lizbeth’s wedding beautifully united cultures, dreams, and styles, turning Sicily into a stage for international elegance and vibrant energy.
