Abdel & Simona – When the Mediterranean Meets Love

Wedding Stories · Two Cultures, One Love · Sicily

Some weddings unite two people. Others unite entire worlds.

Simona and Abdel are both doctors living in France, but their love speaks many languages: the bright, romantic soul of Sicily, her homeland, and the warm, deeply rooted culture of Morocco, his birthplace, Casablanca. Their wedding was not just a celebration — it was a meeting of cultures, colors, and symbols.

Simona dreamed of softness, romance, and light. Even her gown broke tradition: not white, but blush pink, ethereal and poetic. To create balance, she paired pink with light blue, Abdel’s favorite color, shaping a palette that told both of their stories.

For her, we designed a new floral vision: arrangements were grouped into harmonious color families, each expressed through its own palette and gently transitioning into the next. A visual story made of transitions — just like their love, flowing between two cultures.

The Catholic ceremony took place in the magnificent Baroque Cathedral of Ortigia. We deliberately chose not to use an aisle runner, allowing the beauty of the historic stone floor to remain visible. Blush tones, powder blues, and soft pastels transformed the church into a luminous, delicate painting.

Simona and Abdel wanted their international guests to truly experience Sicily. The journey to the cathedral became part of the celebration: traditional Sicilian Ape cars escorted friends and family through the narrow streets of Ortigia. It wasn’t just transportation — it was an immersion into the island’s vibrant spirit.

The reception then opened toward another horizon: the sea. A modern venue overlooking an endless coastline embraced a palette of blues, aqua, and sea greens, echoing every shade of the Mediterranean.

But Simona and Abdel are not only romantic — they are playful, deeply connected, and full of life. They wanted a wedding where everyone felt involved, surprised, and joyful. Among the most evocative experiences was a tarot reader who interpreted guests’ emotions and glimpsed into their future, along with performers spinning glowing spheres in the air like moving planets. Those floating orbs seemed to connect their love to the universe, destiny, and the happiness ahead.

And just when the celebration felt complete, one of the most meaningful moments of the evening unfolded: the Moroccan Tea Ceremony, honoring Abdel’s heritage.

The Moroccan Tea Ceremony

"In Moroccan mint tea, every sip carries a blessing."

The first glass: strong like life.

The second: sweet like love.

The third: light like the desert breeze.

Today, Abdel and Simona share this heartfelt ritual with you. Thank you for being part of this magic.

A wedding that united not only two people, but two stories, two lands, two ways of feeling. A love that speaks the language of the Mediterranean.

The words of the spouses

Simona & Abdel, 21/06/2025

Now that our big day is over, I feel the need to pause for a moment and write something about Rossella. Words sometimes seem too small to capture the immense gratitude I feel, but I'll try anyway, because you deserve every single letter.

You were so much more than a wedding planner. You were a constant, reassuring presence. A guide. A friend. A true force of nature. From start to finish, you were empathetic, attentive, present, sweet yet resolute, and extremely competent. You knew how to read every look in my eyes, every hesitation, every desire, even the ones I didn't even know I had.

Your availability was total. You made everything simpler, lighter, more beautiful. Your ability to manage every detail with elegance, precision, and passion is simply admirable. You transformed every worry into trust, every dream into reality.

You created magic, and not just in the end result, but in the way you did it. You put love into every detail, and it was felt. It was seen. Everyone told us, but I already knew :)

So thank you. Abdel and I are truly grateful.
